A Moment of Pause and Stillness

As I sit in my stillness practice today, I am lovingly reminded that we can get swept into the current of our wants and needs both personally and professionally.  For instance, I have been on a quest to find the perfect stocking stuffer for my adult kids or the extra product offering for my business.  It’s so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle.

For those who know me, you've likely heard me playfully refer to myself as the "energizer bunny on steroids." While I've consciously dialed back that intensity, the desire to be laser-focused and driven still lingers. This emotional current, though powerful, can sometimes lead to tunnel vision.

Can you relate?

If so, I invite you to join me in a moment of pause. Ask yourself, "Am I caught up in the doing of life?" "Am I forcing or flowing in this moment?"

Personally, I recently recognized that I was deeply immersed in the doing, pushing forward relentlessly. It brought to mind the advice I often share with my clients: "Get out of the weeds and get up on the hilltop!" Step away from the emotional current that may be causing confusion and overwhelm. Remember, it's your responsibility, and you have the power to do it from a place of self-compassion and love, not from an inner critical space.

I encourage you to take a pause, to observe what's happening in your life right now. How can you either get into flow or maintain your flow as we navigate this time of year?
