A Gentle Practice to Shift Your Inner State


Here’s a simple, powerful process you can start today—one I use with clients in my Pathway to Inner Peace™ coaching program:

1. Write Your Intention + Feelings on Paper
On the left: What do you want to shift? (e.g., “complete project,” “feel more connected,” “wake up energized”)
On the right: What do you want to feel? (e.g., “clear,” “peaceful,” “motivated”)

2. Rehearse, Fire & Wire, Feel
Close your eyes and imagine your future self. How do you feel in that reality? Let your body experience it—now. You’re practicing being the person you’re becoming.

3. Disrupt the Pattern
When you notice yourself slipping into a familiar emotion or autopilot behavior, pause. Break the cycle. Get up from your desk, take a short walk, refill your water bottle, or step outside. Even small actions can shift your energy and bring you back to presence.

4. Anchor by Repetition + Mindful Awareness
The key is consistency. Catch those “same old” thoughts and redirect your awareness. Pause, breathe, and reconnect with your intention.

  •  Small Actions with Intention: As you move through your morning, choose one simple task to complete with full attention—making your bed, eating your breakfast, or organizing your to-do list. These tiny, mindful acts create ripple effects.
  •  Each “Slip” as a Signpost: When you catch yourself slipping back into old ways, don’t judge. Let it be a gentle invitation to reconnect with your new way of being.
