Take A Breath
Jun 16, 2023Have you ever noticed that you hold your breath under stress or when you have an emotional response to a situation? If you tense up, say while you are driving or carrying a load of groceries up a flight of stairs, often your breath will be affected. Connecting to your breath throughout the day will help you become familiar with your breathing patterns. Once you are aware of breath, you can make choices to claim a deeper calmer empowered breath to encourage your body to relax and stay calm. As a practice, this encourages thoughts and feelings to align with that sense of calm.
Here are some affirmations to help you in connecting to breath:
Each breath I take encourages growth and stimulation of all the cells in my body.
Each breath I take in awareness helps me nourish my mind, body, and spirit.
I choose to connect to my breath to help me in connecting and choosing my thoughts wisely.
Each breath I take allows me to LIVE in the fullness and richness of life.
