Prayer or Meditation? How about both?

Recently, I was discussing with a class the different styles of meditation; I reminded the group that prayer can be considered a form of meditation. Prayerful meditation is reaching out to the Universe or Source with a question, a request, gratitude, and/or praise. Unlike mindful meditation, which is resting in a state of silence, observing what is going on in the mind and body, exploring the soulful level of quiet stillness.

Both are a natural compliment to each other, just like the ebb and flow of the tide. One speaking the other listening; each assists the other in cultivating a true conversation or dialogue with our inner voice and the Universe or One’s Source.

Grateful for the Exchange Everyday,
Nancy
